Bessant & Drury's Chocolate Dairy Free Frozen Dessert

I got really excited when I spotted a new dairy-free ice cream in my local Tesco: Bessant & Drury's Chocolate Dairy Free Frozen Dessert. There was no price label on display but I picked it up anyway. At the till I was shocked when it turned out to be £4.69, however, the product is marketed as a fine ice cream, and I guess it is of a similar price to the luxury dairy ice creams.

This ice cream is also free from soya and GMO ingredients, contains no artificial additives, colours or preservatives, and is low in cholesterol. It has a very rich cocoa taste, with a lovely subtle hint of coconut (the main ingredient is coconut milk). The texture is extremely similar to dairy ice cream; it even melts quickly too! I encouraged some of my non-vegan family members to try it and they loved it - they said that you couldn't tell that it wasn't dairy ice cream!

I thought this ice cream was delicious, and I will definitely be buying it again; I'd like to try the other flavours too if I can get hold of them. I feel that it is worth the price, as it is more of a luxury ice cream than an everyday one, plus I won't be tempted to buy it too often!

Sorry, Jack insisted on being in my picture again!

Has anyone else tried this ice cream, if so, what did you think?

Jason Family Natural Sunscreen Review

What a hit and miss summer we are having! A few weeks a go when we had a hot and sunny spell I was offered the chance to try a suncream from Jason. When it arrived the weather changed again! But there were a few sunny days at the weekend so I grabbed my new suncream and headed outside.

The Family Natural Sunscreen is a broad spectrum suncream and has an SPF of 45. My skin is fair with freckles, and as I burn easily I always go for a high sun protection factor. The product is vegan and BUAV approved, and is also free from parabens and phthalates.

I love the smell of this suncream, it is really tropical which I think is a great aroma to have in a suncare product! I hate suncreams that are really greasy on your skin, but this one is not greasy at all. It is easily absorbed which is definitely one of my top features to have in a suncream.

I did not burn whilst wearing this suncream, although I did ensure that I didn't stay out in the sun too long as even with protection your skin can still burn if the sun is very strong, especially if you have been swimming, sweating or have rubbed it away.

Here's hoping I get to use my suncream a few more times before the summer's out!

Bunny Pyjamas

Recently I was lucky enough to win a £50 voucher to spend online at Simply Beach through a blog giveaway over at Meg's Budget Boutique!

Simply Beach sell swimwear, underwear and nightwear. I decided to go for some new nightwear as I didn't see the point in getting new swimwear as we aren't having much of a summer, and I do love getting new pyjamas!

To keep in line with my cruelty free lifestyle, I chose these cute bunny-print pyjamas from Banana Moon. Around the waist they have a pretty pink satin tie, the kinder version of silk! They are really comfy and are perfect for warmer nights.

What do you think of my new PJs?

Birthday Wishlist

It's exactly one month until I turn 22! I thought I would do a post on all the things I would like for my birthday, or that I will buy myself. It contains a lot of cruelty free stuff, but also some other things that I would love to get (I'm a big Titanic fan if you couldn't guess!).

Aubrey Lumessence Rejuvenating Eye Cream | Titanic 3D Blu-ray | Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World | Titanic Collector's Anniversary Edition Soundtrack | Booja Booja Gourmet Truffle Selection | SpaRitual Pigment 4-Piece Mini Kit | Heart of the Ocean Necklace | Beauty Without Cruelty Lipstick in Rosehip | Tsi-La Ilang Ilang Perfume Roll-On | Heart of the Ocean Ring | New Look Faux-Leather Ballet Pumps
Apart from the Titanic stuff, I'm most looking forward to getting (or buying!) the Tsi-La perfume as it looks really nice and is BUAV approved. I have nearly finished up all my old perfumes and am ready to build up a collection of cruelty free ones! Has anyone tried Tsi-La?
