Last month I was lucky enough to win £50 worth of makeup from BM Beauty, courtesy of the BUAV and the lovely Sarah over at I Am Fabulicious! BM Beauty is a fab vegetarian, BUAV approved makeup company co-founded by Kimberly Wyatt and Laura McComiskie. I decided to choose products that I knew I would run out of soon, so I stocked up on two of the mineral foundations, a mineral powder, and two mineral eyeshadows. I had not tried any of these products before, so I was excited to test them out. I already had BM Beauty's Lash Thickening mascara as I'm a big fan, so I have included that in the review as well :)
Foundation - Stripped (Vanilla Rose Collection) £14 for 10g
I am quite fair skinned so this light colour with neutral undertones was an easy choice for me. This foundation is very easy to apply and gives a natural finish. You can easily add more if you prefer a fuller coverage, so it will suit everyone. Another bonus is that I find it doubles up as a concealer - I just go back and add a little more with a small brush to areas that need concealing, such as under my eyes. I find that I don't usually need to reapply this foundation throughout the day as it is long lasting, and as it is free from bismuth oxychloride, parabens, nano particles and synthetic dyes and fragrances, my skin is able to breathe and does not feel irritated.

This is the only shade of finishing powder, but it is quite translucent so it should suit most skin tones. It gives a lovely, radiant finish and helps to keep your foundation in place. I find I only need to apply a small amount, so the pot should last quite a while.
Eyeshadow - Clay (Burning Spirit Collection) £7 for 2g
I always wear a neutral shade as a base colour, so I picked this matt, creamy yellow shade. When it arrived I was slightly nervous as it appeared a lot brighter than I thought it would be. I applied a light layer all over my lids and up to my brow line and was pleased with the natural effect. As with the finishing powder, you only need a small amount (unless you want to build up coverage, of course) so the pot should last ages.

I usually stick to wearing greys and silvers, so this rich, sparkly shade caught my eye. Whilst it is shimmery, a light application is perfect for day makeup, and you can also build up the layers to create a smoky-eyed evening look too.
Mascara - Lash Thickening £12 for 8ml
I have been a fan of this mascara for a good few months now. It creates a full look but is not clumpy. I find I get the best out of it by curling my lashes beforehand, then applying the mascara with my eye closed. It sounds strange but you get used to it, and it really does help to achieve a full, lengthening look. My eyelashes are quite long anyway so I usually only apply one coat, but I love the look I get from this mascara! It lasts all day and does not smudge, it's not waterproof though so I have had it run a couple of times, but the rain was rather torrential!
