I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I've posted, but after a busy year finishing my studies, I now have more time on my hands so I will hopefully be blogging lots more! The year has flown by, and it's my favourite time of year again - Christmas! Read on to find out how to make sure your Christmas is cruelty free...

The food!
Everyone looks forward to their Christmas dinner, and just a simple change from turkey to a veggie option such as this Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Nut Roast with Feta (£2.29 or 2 for £4) will ensure your festive meal is cruelty free, and cheaper too!

Most people don't know that a lot of alcoholic drinks are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans due to animal products such as eggs, isinglass (fish swim bladders), gelatine and bones being added during the filtration process. Most drinks don't state whether they are suitable for veggies, but most supermarket own brand ones do, such as this delicate Sauvignon, £18 from Marks and Spencer

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without chocolate! Why not have a break from dairy, (which will benefit both your body and the cows!) and try some delicious vegan chocolates, such as these Moo Free caramelised pralines, £7.95, which are available from www.ethicalsuperstore.com

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and I'll be back in the New Year :)
